Ko Pu
Ko Pu is a small island located off the coast of Phuket, Thailand. Travelers visit this site primarily for its natural environment and as a destination for boat trips, snorkeling, and observing the coastal landscape away from the main island's urban areas.
Getting There
Access to the island is by boat from the Phuket coastline. From Phuket Town, you can travel by taxi or rented vehicle to the nearby piers in the Kata or Karon areas, which takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic. From the pier, a short boat ride is required to reach the island.
Duration of Visit
Most visitors spend between 2 and 4 hours at the location, depending on whether they are stopping for a brief swim or spending more time snorkeling around the perimeter.
When to Visit
The best time to visit is during the dry season, typically from November to April, when the seas are calmer and visibility for snorkeling is higher. It is advisable to arrive in the morning to avoid the midday heat. The area can become crowded during peak tourist months and on weekends.
