Getting There

To reach the island from Phuket city centre, travelers must first travel to a pier, such as Bang Rong or Ao Por. From there, long-tail boats or speedboats provide transport to the island. The total journey typically takes between 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on the pier location and boat type.

Duration of Visit

A day trip is possible for those visiting nearby islands, but staying for 2 to 3 days allows more time to explore the interior of the island by scooter or bicycle.

The best time to visit is during the dry season from November to April. During the monsoon season, boat transfers can be affected by weather conditions. The island is generally less crowded than Phuket or Phi Phi, though peak travel months see an increase in visitors.
