Gudal Lake is a small freshwater lake located in Lekhnath, near Pokhara. It is named after the aquatic plants that cover its surface and is maintained by the local community. Travelers visit this site for a quiet environment and a place to walk along the water.

The lake is situated outside the main city center of Pokhara. Visitors typically reach the area by hiring a taxi or using local transport to Lekhnath. Depending on traffic and the specific starting point in the city, the journey generally takes about 45 to 60 minutes.

Because of its small size and peaceful nature, most visitors spend between 1 and 2 hours here. This allows enough time for a stroll around the perimeter and observation of the local flora.

When to Visit

The site is generally quiet and does not experience the heavy crowds found at the larger lakes in Pokhara. It is best visited during the morning or late afternoon to avoid the midday heat. The most stable weather for visiting occurs during the autumn and spring seasons.
