• Taxis and Ride-Hailing: Best for late-night travel or when carrying heavy luggage, as they provide door-to-door service that the bus network cannot match.

Tickets and Passes

Tickets can be purchased directly from drivers or via mobile applications. Short-term tickets are suitable for occasional trips. Day passes are more economical for visitors planning multiple trips across different zones in a single 24-hour period. These passes do not suit those who primarily stay within the historic center, as walking is faster and free.

From Košice International Airport (KSC) to Prešov

Since Prešov does not have its own airport, visitors arrive via Košice (KSC). Options include:

• Bus: The most cost-effective method. It requires a transfer from the airport to the main bus station in Košice, then a regional bus to Prešov. This involves the most effort and longest travel time.
• Train: Similar to the bus, this requires traveling from the airport to the Košice railway station first. It offers a more comfortable ride between the two cities.
• Taxi/Private Transfer: The fastest and lowest-effort option, providing a direct route from the terminal to your destination in Prešov, though it falls in the highest cost band.
