Located on the Atlantic coast of Punta del Este, this beach is characterized by strong waves and a wide shoreline. Visitors primarily go here to observe the ocean and to photograph the "La Mano" sculpture, a large hand emerging from the sand that serves as a local landmark.

The beach is situated within the urban area of Punta del Este. From the city centre, it is accessible via a short walk or a brief taxi ride, typically taking less than 10 minutes depending on the starting point.
