Overview

The site of the Čemaluša mosque, also known as the Havdžija Kemaludin Mosque, marks where a 16th-century Ottoman place of worship once stood. While the building is no longer present, visitors interested in local history come to locate where Ottoman heritage intersected with modern Sarajevo between Ferhadija Street and Maršala Tita Street.

Getting There

Situated in the heart of Sarajevo, the location is accessible on foot. Walking from central points or the old town takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes along Ferhadija or Maršala Tita Street.

Time to Allow

A stop here takes roughly 5 to 15 minutes, as there is no standing mosque building to tour.

Daylight hours are ideal for walking the area and viewing the surrounding architecture. The surrounding streets are central pedestrian corridors and experience steady foot traffic throughout the day.
