Dubai City Tower

The Dubai City Tower was a proposed skyscraper project unveiled in 2008. It was designed to reach a height of 2,400 meters, which would have made it significantly taller than the Burj Khalifa. As this was a proposal and not a completed construction project, travelers cannot visit a finished building or an observation deck at this site.

Getting There

The proposed site is located in the urban area between Sharjah and Dubai. From the city center, the area is accessible via taxi or ride-sharing services. Travel time varies depending on traffic conditions but typically takes 15 to 30 minutes from central districts.

Visit Duration

Since there is no operational building to enter or tour, visitors generally spend very little time at the specific site, often only a few minutes if they are viewing the location from the street.

When to Visit

The area is best visited during the cooler winter months from November to March to avoid extreme heat. Like most central urban areas in the region, traffic congestion is common during weekday rush hours.

Nearby Attractions

  • Al Muraqqabat (0.9km)
  • Deira Clocktower (1.1km)
