Ganja Gate
The Ganja Gate is one of three historical entrances to the Shusha fortress, situated on the northern side of the city's defensive perimeter. Visitors go here to view the remaining sections of the old fortress walls and experience the historical architecture of the fortification system.
Getting There
The gate is located within the central area of Shusha. It is accessible via a short walk or a brief drive from the city center, typically taking less than 10 minutes depending on the starting point.
Visit Duration
Allow approximately 30 to 60 minutes to examine the gate and walk along the adjacent sections of the fortress walls.
When to Visit
The site is outdoors and open to the elements, making spring and autumn the most comfortable seasons for a visit. Morning or late afternoon light is generally better for viewing the stonework. There are no specific peak hours that cause significant crowding, though weekends may see more local visitors.
