Millennium Cross

The Millennium Cross is a 66-meter-tall monument located at the summit of Mount Vodno. Travelers visit this site to see one of the world's largest crosses and to view the city of Skopje from a high elevation.

Getting There

From the city centre, visitors can reach the summit via a cable car system that ascends Mount Vodno. The trip from the base to the top takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Alternatively, the site is accessible by road or hiking trails, though travel times vary depending on the mode of transport.

Allow roughly 1 to 2 hours at the summit. This provides enough time to walk around the base of the monument and observe the surrounding landscape.

The site is accessible year-round, though weather conditions on the mountain can differ from the city below. Visiting during the late afternoon allows for views of the city as the lights turn on. The area can become crowded during weekends and public holidays.
