Scupi Archaeological Site
Scupi is an ancient Roman site located on the outskirts of Skopje, near the capital of North Macedonia. Originally established as a Roman military camp in the 2nd century BC, it evolved into a city before being abandoned around the 6th century. Visitors go here to view the remains of the ancient urban layout, including foundations of houses, public buildings, and the city walls.
Getting There
The site is located outside the city center. The most direct way to reach it is by taxi or rental car, which typically takes about 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. Public transport options are available but may require more time and walking.

Most visitors spend between 1 and 2 hours exploring the ruins and the surrounding grounds.
When to Visit
The site is an open-air archaeological park with little shade. Visiting during the early morning or late afternoon is recommended to avoid the midday heat, particularly during the summer months. It generally does not get crowded compared to the city center attractions.
