Largo
Largo
The Largo is a socialist classicist architectural ensemble consisting of three large buildings that surround Sofia's Independence Square. Visitors go here to see the city's defining administrative center and the scale of its mid-20th-century architecture, which serves as one of the primary landmarks of the capital.
Getting There
The site is located in the heart of Sofia's city center. It is accessible on foot from most central hotels and the main pedestrian zones. Depending on your starting point within the center, it typically takes 5 to 15 minutes to reach.
Visit Duration
Allow approximately 30 to 60 minutes to walk around the square and observe the exterior architecture of the ensemble.
When to Visit
The area is open to the public at all times. It can get crowded during business hours and during official events held in the square. Visiting in the early morning or evening provides a quieter experience.

- Saint Petka of the Saddlemakers Church (0.1km)
- Saint George Rotunda Church (0.1km)
