Wufeng Lin Family Mansion and Garden

This site is the former estate of the Lin family, located in the Wufeng District of Taichung. The complex is divided into the Upper and Lower Houses and includes a traditional garden designed by Lin Wenqin. Visitors go here to see the architecture of a historic Taiwanese estates and walk through the landscaped grounds.

Getting There

The mansion is located outside the central business district of Taichung. Travelers can reach the site via local bus services or taxi from the city center. The journey typically takes between 30 to 50 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

Duration of Visit

Allow approximately 2 to 3 hours to walk through both the residential houses and the garden areas.

When to Visit

Morning visits are recommended to avoid the midday heat. The site can get crowded during national holidays and weekends. Because much of the garden is outdoors, the cooler months are more comfortable for walking.
