Turtle Lake is a small body of water located in a valley above Tbilisi. Travelers visit this area to walk along the shoreline and access a quieter environment away from the city center's traffic and noise.
Getting There
The lake is situated in the hills. From the city center, you can reach it via taxi or by taking a public bus and walking up the incline. The journey typically takes 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
Duration of Visit
Allow approximately 2 to 3 hours to walk around the perimeter of the lake and use the available seating areas.
When to Visit
The area is most active during the spring and summer months. It becomes crowded on weekends and public holidays when local residents visit for recreation. To avoid the largest crowds, visit on a weekday morning.
