Jaffa Light

The Jaffa Light is a historic lighthouse situated on a hill overlooking the old port of Jaffa. First lit in 1865, the structure no longer functions as an active beacon but serves as a landmark for visitors to view the harbor and the Mediterranean Sea.

Getting There

The lighthouse is located in Old Jaffa, south of the Tel Aviv city center. Visitors can reach the area via public bus or taxi. The journey typically takes 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

Time Allotment

Since the site is primarily a viewpoint, allow 30 to 60 minutes to observe the surroundings and the coastline.

When to Visit

Late afternoon is a practical time to visit to see the changing light over the sea. The area can become crowded during weekends and public holidays. To avoid the strongest heat, visits during the shoulder seasons of spring and autumn are recommended.
