Union Square
Union Square is the oldest public square in Timișoara. It serves as a historical center commemorating the 1919 arrival of Romanian troops and the union of the Banat region. Visitors go here to view the surrounding architecture and the Holy Trinity Monument, which marks the center of the space. The area was previously known as Losonczy Square, named after a count who died in battle in 1552.

The square is located within the city center. Because it is a central landmark, it is accessible via a short walk from most downtown hotels and main pedestrian zones. Depending on your starting point in the center, it typically takes between 5 and 15 minutes to reach on foot.
