Overview

The Postbllok Memorial is an outdoor installation created jointly by writer Fatos Lubonja and artist Ardian Isufi. It commemorates the victims of Albania's communist regime. Visitors go to view the distinctive sculpture up close, which features concrete mining supports from the Spaç labor camp, a military bunker, and a section of the Berlin Wall.

Getting There

Located along Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard, the site is an easy 10 to 15-minute walk south from Skanderbeg Square in central Tirana. A short bus or taxi ride from the city center takes around 5 minutes.

Time to Allow

Plan to spend 15 to 30 minutes here. This is sufficient time to inspect the sculpture from all angles and read the accompanying plaques.

When to Go

Daylight hours are best for viewing the installation details. As an outdoor public fixture, it rarely gets crowded. During the summer, visit during the morning or late afternoon to avoid midday heat.
