Miraikan, officially the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, was established by Japan's Science and Technology Agency. Getting there
Miraikan is on Odaiba, the artificial island in Tokyo Bay. From central Tokyo, the most common route is the Yurikamome elevated train from Shimbashi station, which takes roughly 15-20 minutes to the nearest stop. It's also reachable by the Rinkai Line to Tokyo Teleport station, with a short walk from either station.
Time to allow
Plan on two to three hours to see the main exhibits at a comfortable pace. Families with children or visitors who want to catch a planetarium or dome show should allow extra time.

Weekends and Japanese school holidays tend to bring larger crowds, particularly school groups on weekday mornings during term time. Arriving earlier in the day generally means more breathing room around the popular exhibits.
