L Tower

Overview

The L Tower is a residential skyscraper in downtown Toronto designed by architect Daniel Libeskind. Notable for its curved profile, the building earned 8th place in the 2017 Emporis Skyscraper Award. Because the tower consists of private residential units rather than a public observation deck, travellers visit primarily to view and photograph its distinctive exterior design from street level.

Getting There

The building is located near the intersection of Front Street and Yonge Street in central Toronto. Reaching the site on foot from core downtown transit hubs like Union Station takes approximately 5 to 10 minutes.

Time to Allow

Since visits are limited to exterior viewing, plan to spend about 15 to 30 minutes taking photos and viewing the structure from different street corners.

When to Go

Daylight hours provide the clearest view of the facade and geometry. Sidewalks in the area experience regular pedestrian and commuter traffic during weekday rush hours, but the site does not draw ticketed queues or dense tourist crowds.

  • Scotia Plaza (0.4km)
  • Cathedral Church of St. James (0.5km)
