Midtown
Overview
Midtown is a commercial district north of downtown Toronto, centered around the Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue intersection. Travellers visit to explore shopping complexes, retail corridors, and dining options in an active urban area outside the downtown core.
Getting There
From downtown Toronto (such as Union Station), take TTC Subway Line 1 northbound to Eglinton Station. The journey takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Allow 2 to 3 hours to walk the main streets, browse stores, and stop for food or coffee.
When to Visit
Sidewalks and stores are busiest during weekday evenings and weekend afternoons. Street traffic is heavy during weekday commute hours, so subway transit is recommended. Late spring through early autumn offers the best conditions for walking.
