About the Mosque

The Mosque of El Bradia is a small, traditional place of worship located in the Bab Souika area, just north of the Tunis medina. Travelers pass by while walking through the quieter residential alleys of the northern quarter, where historic neighborhood structures integrate directly into daily local life.

Getting There

From central Tunis around Avenue Habib Bourguiba, it takes roughly 20 to 25 minutes on foot heading northwest into the medina. Alternatively, a taxi ride to the Bab Souika area takes about 10 minutes, followed by a short walk through the pedestrian alleys.

Time to Allow

Allow roughly 10 to 15 minutes for a stop, which is sufficient to view the exterior and take in the historic street setting.

When to Visit

Daylight hours are best for navigating the narrow alleys comfortably. Spring and autumn offer the most pleasant temperatures for walking. The area around the entrance becomes busy during daily prayer times as worshippers gather, so plan accordingly.
