About the Complex

Choijin Lama Temple is a Buddhist temple complex in the Sükhbaatar district of central Ulaanbaatar, now operating as a museum. Travellers visit to see traditional Mongolian Buddhist architecture and historic religious art, including thangka paintings and tsam dance masks, preserved right in the city centre.

Getting There

Located in downtown Ulaanbaatar, the site is roughly a 5-minute walk south of the central plaza. Visitors staying in the centre can reach it easily on foot.

When to Visit
