Overview

Eschnerberg is a 698-meter mountain ridge along the Rhine Valley, straddling the border between northern Liechtenstein and Austria. Featuring seven distinct peaks, it offers walking trails where visitors can observe the terrain marking the international boundary between the two nations.

Getting There

From central Vaduz, reach the trailheads in 15 to 25 minutes by car or regional bus heading north toward Eschen or Schellenberg.

Suggested Time

Allow 2 to 4 hours to explore the walking routes, view the surrounding valley, and complete a trail section.

When to Visit

Spring through autumn provides the most reliable trail conditions. Summer mornings are cooler for walking. The trails rarely get crowded and remain quiet year-round. Paths can be icy or snow-covered during winter.
