Our Lady of Victory Church
Overview
Our Lady of Victory Church is the first building erected in Valletta, dedicated in thanksgiving for victory in the Great Siege of Malta. Completed under the patronage of Grand Master Jean Parisot de Valette, it marks the start of the city's history. Travellers visit to see the historical starting point of the capital and its religious art.
Getting There
The site is in central Valletta near Castille Place, less than a five-minute walk from the City Gate and main bus terminus. Travellers arriving from Malta International Airport (MLA) can reach the city entrance directly by bus or taxi.
