Orpheum
What It Is
The Orpheum is a historic theatre on Granville Street in downtown Vancouver and the home stage of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Travellers visit to attend live concerts or see its ornate vintage interior, which has also served as a film set.
Getting There
Located in the city centre, the hall is a 5- to 10-minute walk from downtown hubs. It sits one block from the Vancouver City Centre SkyTrain station and close to local bus stops.
Time to Allow
Allow 2 to 3 hours for a concert. For an organized interior tour, allocate roughly 1 hour.
When to Go
The venue opens for scheduled events, mainly evenings and weekend matinees. The lobby becomes crowded right before showtime and during intermissions; arriving 30 minutes before the start time helps avoid queues.
