The Temple of Saturn is an ancient ruin located at the western end of the Roman Forum, at the foot of the Capitoline Hill. Dating back to 497 BC, this site served as a temple and the location of the state treasury. Travelers visit this site to see the remaining Ionic columns and the podium of one of the oldest structures in the city.
Getting There
The temple is located within the historic center of Rome. From the city center, it is accessible via a short walk or a local bus ride. Depending on your starting point, the journey typically takes between 10 and 20 minutes.

When to Visit
Early morning or late afternoon is recommended to avoid the peak heat of the day. The site is outdoors and exposed to the sun. It frequently gets crowded, especially during the peak tourist seasons of spring and summer.
