Mozarthaus Vienna
Mozarthaus Vienna
This museum is the former residence of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, located in the center of Vienna. It is the only home where the composer actually lived while residing in the city. Visitors go here to see the museum to see the rooms where he lived and worked, and to view exhibits detailing his daily life and musical compositions.
Getting There
The museum is located in the first district, the heart of the city center. Since it is situated near the main hub of Stephansplatz, it is accessible by a short walk from most central hotels or via the U-Bahn (subway) lines U1 or U3. From the center of the city, it typically takes only a few minutes to reach on foot.
Visit Duration
Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to walk through the apartments and view the displayed artifacts and historical documents.
When to Visit
The museum can get crowded during peak tourist seasons and midday hours. Visiting early in the morning or later in the afternoon may help avoid the largest groups. There are no specific seasonal restrictions for visiting the interior.

Because of its central location, the museum can be combined with several other sites within walking distance:
- St. Stephen's Cathedral: 0.1km
- Stephansplatz: 0.2km
- Pestsäule: 0.4km
- St. Peter's Church: 0.4km
