Panlongcheng Ruins

The Panlongcheng Ruins are the remains of an ancient city located on a hill near Panlong Lake, northeast of downtown Wuhan. Visitors go here to walk through the archaeological site and study the early history of the region through its preserved city layout and artifacts.

Getting There

The site is located northeast of the city centre. Travelers can reach the ruins via taxi or public transport from downtown Wuhan. The journey typically takes between 30 to 60 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

Allow approximately 2 to 3 hours to walk through the remains and view the onsite exhibits.

When to Visit

The site is an outdoor archaeological area, making it most accessible during the spring and autumn months when temperatures are moderate. To avoid the strongest sun and heat, morning visits are recommended. The site can become crowded during national holidays.
