Opened in 1933, the Yerevan Opera Theater serves as the hub of Armenian performing arts. It houses two separate halls configured for opera, ballet, and orchestral concerts. Travellers visit to attend live performances or to view the building's distinct circular architecture and plaza.

Located in central Yerevan at Freedom Square, the venue is accessible on foot from Republic Square in about 5 to 10 minutes walking along Northern Avenue. Taxis and local buses also provide drop-offs along the perimeter.
