Bang Luang Mosque
Bang Luang Mosque is a historic mosque, located in Soi Arun Amarin 7, New Arun Amarin Road, Wat Kanlaya Subdistrict, Thon Buri District, of Bangkok. The mosque is situated on the Thonburi side within Kudi Khao Community by the Khlong Bangkok Yai near mouth of Chao Phraya River. The mosque is also known as Kudi Khao and Kudi To Yi.

Bang Luang Mosque, also known as Kudi Khao or Kudi To Yi, is a historic mosque on the Thonburi side of Bangkok, tucked into the Kudi Khao Community along Khlong Bangkok Yai near where it meets the Chao Phraya River. It's worth visiting for its setting more than for grandeur: a working neighborhood mosque woven into a riverside Muslim community with a long history, offering a quieter, more residential contrast to the temple-heavy sights across the river.
Getting there
The easiest approach from central Bangkok is by river: take a Chao Phraya Express Boat to a pier near the Bangkok Yai canal mouth, then walk or take a short longtail boat into the canal toward Soi Arun Amarin 7. By road, it's a taxi ride across the river from the Rattanakosin/Grand Palace area, generally taking 15-25 minutes depending on traffic and river crossings.
Time to allow
Most visitors spend 30-45 minutes here, enough to see the mosque exterior and grounds and get a sense of the surrounding community.
When to go
Mornings tend to be calmer and cooler for walking the narrow lanes around the canal. As an active place of worship, it is not a tourist crowd destination, so avoid visiting during prayer times if you'd rather not disturb activities, and dress modestly out of respect.

Ton Son Mosque is just 0.2km away, making the two easy to see together as a pair. The Museum of Siam (0.9km) is a reasonable next stop for context on Thai history and identity. Those with more time can continue to Rattanakosin Island (1.3km) and the Grand Palace (1.4km), though these sit across the river and involve a bit more travel.
