尼崎城（あまがさきじょう）は、兵庫県尼崎市にあった日本の城。江戸時代初期に築城された平城。

Amagasaki Castle was the seat of Amagasaki Domain, a stronghold that controlled this part of northern Settsu Province under the Tokugawa shogunate. The original structure was torn down in the early Meiji period, and what stands today is a partial reconstruction completed in 2018. It's a modern rebuild rather than a preserved historic building, which makes it a lighter, quicker stop than Japan's major original or fully-restored castles — worthwhile mainly for the tenshu exterior, the layout of the grounds, and a sense of how a flatland castle in this region would have looked.
Getting there
The castle sits in Amagasaki city, within the Osaka metropolitan area. From central Osaka, it's reachable by local train in roughly 15-20 minutes, followed by a short walk from the nearest station.
How much time to allow
Because the reconstruction covers only part of the original complex, an hour or so is enough to see the main building and walk the surrounding area.
When to go
This is not a major tourist draw, so heavy crowding isn't a concern. It works well as a low-key morning or afternoon stop rather than something to plan a full day around.
Combine it with
- Yodo River (3.5km) — the closest option, good for a riverside walk afterward.
- Kyū-Yodo River (6.3km) and Osaka Bay Tower (6.1km) — both a similar distance out, suited to travellers with a car or willing to take a longer transit ride.
- Universal Studios Japan (5.6km) — nearby enough to pair on the same day if you're prioritizing the park and want a brief historical stop beforehand.
