展望・ランドマーク

あべのハルカス

あべのハルカスは大阪市阿倍野区にある、高さ300m、62階建ての複合商業施設で、2014年から2023年まで日本一高い建物でした。百貨店やオフィス、ホテルが入っていますが、旅行者にとっては上層階の展望台が主な見どころです。

寺社・宗教施設

四天王寺

四天王寺は大阪にある仏教寺院で、日本最古の官寺の一つとされています。荒陵寺、難波大寺、御津寺など複数の名称でも呼ばれてきました。長い歴史の中で火災や戦乱により幾度も焼失と再建を繰り返し、現在の建物は1963年に再建されたものです。

テーマパーク

ユニバーサル・スタジオ・ジャパン

ユニバーサル・スタジオ・ジャパンは大阪にある、ハリウッド映画やアニメーションを題材にしたテーマパークで、世界のユニバーサル・スタジオの中でアメリカ国外に初めて作られた施設です。アトラクションだけでなく、映画のセットを再現した街並みやキャラクターエリアを歩き回る楽しさも大きいため、スーパー・ニンテンドー・ワールドやハリー・ポッターなど特定のフランチャイズが好きな旅行者にはぜひ訪れる価値があります。

展望・ランドマーク

梅田スカイビル

梅田スカイビルは、40階建ての2つのタワーを最上階でガラスの橋でつないだ、独特な構造の複合施設です。橋にはエスカレーターとエレベーターが通っており、2つのタワーの間に広がる開放的な吹き抜け空間を渡って移動します。

展望・ランドマーク

通天閣

通天閣は大阪市浪速区の新世界地区にある展望塔で、塔の上部に取り付けられた日立の屋外広告でも知られています。高さは108メートルで、展望台は91メートルの位置にあります。大阪市街を一望できるランドマークであると同時に、周辺の新世界ならではの昭和レトロな下町情緒を楽しみに訪れる旅行者も多いです。

ショッピング・繁華街

道頓堀

道頓堀は、大阪ミナミ地区の道頓堀川沿いに、道頓堀橋から日本橋まで続く繁華街です。江戸時代には芝居町として栄え、現在では川沿いに大型看板やネオンサイン(代表的なものが「グリコサイン」)が立ち並ぶ、飲食と娯楽の街となっています。

動物園・水族館

海遊館

大阪港区、大阪湾近くにある大型水族館です。1990年の開館当時、世界最大級の公立水族館として建てられ、太平洋の様々な海洋環境をフロアごとに再現した構造が特徴です。

寺社・宗教施設

住吉大社

住吉大社は大阪市住吉区にある神社で、全国にある住吉神社の総本社にあたります。赤い太鼓橋(半月型の橋)と、横に並んだ4棟の本殿が特徴で、この神社独自の建築様式は「住吉造」という名で呼ばれるほど、他の神社とは一線を画しています。

地下鉄・鉄道: Eight Osaka Metro lines cover most of the city. Namba, Umeda and Shinsaibashi are the interchange hubs — staying near them keeps journeys short.
バス・路面電車: City buses mostly fill gaps the subway misses. For a visit, the subway and JR are usually enough.
交通カード・支払い: ICOCA, Suica and other nationwide IC cards. They also work at convenience stores and vending machines.
空港から市内へ: From Kansai Airport: Nankai Rapi:t to Namba, JR Haruka to Shin-Osaka, or limousine buses. Nankai suits a Namba base, JR suits Shin-Osaka or Kyoto.
レンタカー: For the city alone a car is a burden — parking is expensive and one-way streets are common. Consider it only if you are adding Nara or Kobe.
