東京都美術館（とうきょうとびじゅつかん）は、東京都台東区上野公園8番36号（上野恩賜公園内）にある都立美術館である。略称都美。旧称東京府美術館。

From Tokyo Station, it's a short ride on the JR Yamanote or Keihin-Tohoku Line to Ueno, plus the same walk.

Plan on one to two hours for a single exhibition, more if it's a major touring show with large crowds moving through galleries at a slower pace.

Popular exhibitions, especially blockbuster international loans, can draw heavy crowds and long entry queues, so arriving soon after opening or on a weekday helps. Ueno Park itself gets very busy during cherry blossom season in late March and early April, which adds to foot traffic around the museum entrance.
