Ca' Pesaro
カ・ペーザロ はイタリアのヴェネツィアにあるカナル・グランデに面する宮殿であり、現在は国際現代美術館となっている。ヴェネツィアでのバロック建築の第一人者の一人であるバルダッサーレ・ロンゲーナにより設計され、後にGian Antonio Gaspariの手により1710年に完成した。

Ca' Pesaro is a large Baroque palace on the Grand Canal that now houses two collections: the Galleria Internazionale d'Arte Moderna and the Museo d'Arte Orientale. It's part of Venice's civic museum network, so the appeal is less about the building's history and more about what's inside — 19th- and 20th-century paintings and sculpture on the modern art side, and Japanese and Chinese decorative arts, armor, and textiles upstairs. Travellers interested in Venice beyond the historic core, or looking for a break from Renaissance and Byzantine art, tend to find this one worthwhile.
Getting there
Ca' Pesaro sits in the Santa Croce district, a walk of roughly 15-20 minutes from the Rialto Bridge area, mostly through narrow calli. It's also reachable by vaporetto (the San Stae stop is a short walk away), which can be more direct if you're coming from further along the Grand Canal.
How much time to allow
Plan on 1.5 to 2 hours to see both collections without rushing. If you only want the modern art galleries, an hour is enough.
When to go
Mornings tend to be quieter, especially compared to the major sights near Rialto and San Marco. Because it's a bit off the most-trodden tourist path, it generally doesn't get the crowding seen at Venice's headline attractions, making it a reasonable choice for midday or afternoon visits too.
What to combine it with
The Fondaco dei Turchi is just 0.2km away and easy to pair with a visit here. Ca' Vendramin Calergi is similarly close at 0.2km. From there, it's a short walk to Rialto (0.4km) and the Rialto Bridge (0.5km) if you want to continue toward the busier heart of the city.
