Arad Fort
Arad Fort is a 15th-century fortification located in Al-Muharraq. Originally constructed on its own island, it was later connected to the mainland via land reclamation. Visitors go here to see the historical military architecture and learn about the region's coastal defenses.

The fort is located on the coast of Muharraq Island. From the center of Al-Muharraq, it is accessible by taxi or rental car. The drive typically takes about 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic.
Visit Duration
Allow approximately 1 to 2 hours to walk through the grounds and explore the interior structures.
When to Visit
Due to the high temperatures in Bahrain, visiting during the early morning or late afternoon is recommended to avoid the midday heat. The winter months offer the most temperate weather for outdoor exploration. The site can become crowded during local public holidays.
