Overview
The Church of St Nicholas is a Roman Catholic church in Amsterdam's old town, dedicated to the city's patron saint. Travelers visit to view its 19th-century architecture, twin towers, central dome, and decorated interior, as well as its historic place in the capital.

The church stands directly opposite Amsterdam Central Station. From Dam Square in the city center, it is a 5 to 10-minute walk north along Damrak. Any tram or metro line heading to Central Station drops passengers within a 2-minute walk.
