Ashgabat Park
Ashgabat Park
Located in the heart of the city, this is one of the oldest green spaces in Ashgabat. Spanning approximately 7 hectares, the park provides a landscaped area for walking and resting amidst the downtown urban environment.
Getting There
Because the park is situated in the city center, it is accessible via short taxi rides or by walking from nearby central hotels and administrative districts. Travel time from most central points is typically under 10 minutes.
Duration of Visit
A visit to the park generally requires 1 to 2 hours, depending on whether you are using the space for a full walk or a brief break between other city activities.
When to Visit
The park is best visited during the spring and autumn months to avoid the extreme heat of the Turkmen summer. Early morning or late afternoon are the most comfortable times for a stroll. Like many central public spaces, it can become more crowded during local weekends and public holidays.
Nearby Attractions
The park's central location makes it easy to combine with other nearby landmarks within walking distance:
- Mollanepes Theatre (0.4km)
- Atatürk Square (0.5km)
- Monument to Lenin (0.5km)
- Saparmurat Turkmenbashi Theatre (0.5km)
