• Spring (March to May): Temperatures are mild and the valley is lush. This is an ideal time for walking through the temple complexes before the summer heat arrives.
• Summer (June to August): Days are hot and dry with long daylight hours. While the sun is intense, this is the peak cultural season.
• Autumn (September to November): The heat subsides in September, and the landscape turns golden. It is generally pleasant for sightseeing with moderate crowds.
• Winter (December to February): It can be very cold, and snowfall is common due to the elevation. Some areas may be damp, and daylight hours are significantly shorter.

Choosing Your Travel Month

For Culture and Events: Visit between July and August. This period hosts the Baalbek International Festival, bringing global performers to the ruins. Be aware that accommodation and transport from Beirut may be more limited during these dates.

For Sightseeing and Photography: April, May, and October are best. The lighting is softer, and the lack of extreme heat makes exploring the massive stone structures more comfortable.
