Overview

Fayuan Temple is a historic Buddhist temple in Beijing dating back to the Tang dynasty, originally constructed to honor fallen soldiers. Visitors come to view its collection of cultural relics, including ancient stone lions, bronze statues, and various Buddha images housed throughout its traditional halls.

Getting There

Located in southern central Beijing, the complex is reachable by subway or taxi from the city centre. A standard trip from central locations takes around 30 to 40 minutes, followed by a brief walk from the nearest station.

Time to Spend

Allow approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. This provides sufficient time to tour the central courtyards, observe the architecture, and inspect the stone carvings and historic relics.
