Located in the center of Tiananmen Square, this monument serves as the final resting place of Mao Zedong. Travelers visit the site to view the embalmed body of the former leader on display within the granite structure.
Getting There
The site is centrally located in Beijing. From the city center, it is most accessible via the Beijing Subway, specifically the Tiananmen East or West stations. Depending on your starting point, the commute typically takes 20 to 40 minutes.
