Rundemanen
Rundemanen
Rundemanen is one of the seven mountains surrounding Bergen, Norway, reaching an elevation of 568 meters. Travelers visit this location for the hiking trails and the vantage points overlooking the city and the surrounding coastline.
Getting There
The mountain is accessible from Bergen city centre. Most visitors reach the starting points via a combination of local bus or the Fløibanen funicular, followed by a walk. Depending on the chosen trail and mode of transport, it typically takes 30 to 60 minutes to reach the base of the hiking paths from the center.
Time Allocation
Allow approximately 3 to 5 hours for a visit. This includes the ascent and descent along the trails, as well as time spent at the summit.
When to Visit
The trails are most accessible during the spring, summer, and autumn. In winter, snow and ice can make the paths slippery, requiring specialized footwear. To avoid the largest crowds, visit on weekdays or during the early morning hours.
