Venkatesh Mandir

Located in the Gaushala area, this Hindu temple is designed to resemble the Tirupati Balaji Temple in India. Visitors go here to see South Indian-style temple architecture, which differs from the traditional Newari and pagoda styles common in the Kathmandu Valley.

The temple is situated in the Gaushala district, east of the city centre. From the central areas of Kathmandu, you can reach the site via taxi or local transport. The journey typically takes 20 to 40 minutes depending on the current traffic conditions.
