This prehistoric underground site served as both a religious sanctuary and a burial place. It is a necropolis carved into the rock, containing the remains of approximately 7,000 people. Visitors go here to see the unique subterranean architecture and the ancient burial chambers.

The site is located in the Birkirkara area. From the center of Valletta, you can reach the location via local bus or taxi. The journey typically takes 15 to 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions.
