Located near the Dingli Cliffs in Birkirkara, this prehistoric site is characterized by its ancient rock-cut features. Visitors go here to see the "cart ruts," deep parallel grooves carved into the limestone bedrock whose exact origin and purpose remain a subject of archaeological study.

When to Visit
The site is an open-air plateau with little to no shade. It is best visited during the cooler months of autumn or spring, or in the early morning and late afternoon to avoid the midday sun. It generally does not get as crowded as the primary temple sites in Malta.
