What It Is

This memorial museum in Bukhara is dedicated to the politician Fayzulla Khodjaev. Housed in a former residential mansion with separate courtyards for men and women, the complex reopened to visitors following a 2023 restoration. Travellers visit to see traditional Bukharan domestic architecture, carved woodwork, and displays on early 20th-century regional history.

Getting There

Located south of the historic city centre, the site is a 10- to 15-minute walk from central landmarks or a 5-minute taxi ride. From Bukhara International Airport (BHK), driving takes roughly 15 minutes.

Time to Allow

Allow 45 to 60 minutes to walk through both courtyards, tour the restored interior rooms, and view the exhibits.

When to Go

Spring and autumn provide mild weather for walking outside. In summer, visit in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat. The museum is generally uncrowded and sees low visitor traffic.
