Gaukushon Madrasa

The Gaukushon Madrasa is a 16th-century Islamic educational institution located in Bukhara. It forms part of the larger Khoja Gaukushon architectural complex. Visitors go here to observe the traditional Central Asian madrasah architecture and the historical layout of the city's religious complexes.

The site is located within the historic center of Bukhara. From the main city center, it is accessible via a short taxi ride or a walk of approximately 10 to 15 minutes, depending on your starting point.

When to Visit

The site is best visited during the spring or autumn to avoid the extreme temperatures of the Uzbek summer and winter. Early morning or late afternoon provides softer light for viewing the brickwork. Like many central monuments in Bukhara, it can become crowded during peak tourist seasons.
