Overview

Oryukdo is a group of rocky islands located off the coast of Yongho-dong in Busan. Travellers visit to walk along the coastal paths, view the rock formations from designated lookout points, and take in the open ocean scenery.

Getting There

From central Busan (such as Seomyeon or Busan Station), local city buses run directly to the area in roughly 40 to 60 minutes. A taxi ride from the city centre takes about 25 to 35 minutes depending on traffic.

Time to Spend

Allow 1 to 2 hours on-site. This is enough time to walk along the coastal boardwalks, stop at the viewpoints, and explore the nearby trail sections.

When to Visit

Clear days offer the best visibility across the water. The area gets crowded on weekends and national holidays, causing bottlenecks along the narrower paths, so weekday mornings are preferable. Be prepared for strong coastal winds, especially during the colder months.

Nearby Attractions

Consider combining a visit with these nearby sites:

  • National Maritime Museum (4.6km)
  • Dongsam-dong Shell Midden (5km)
  • Busan Museum (5.1km)
  • Gwangan Bridge (5.9km)
