Lotus Tower

The Lotus Tower is a communication and observation tower in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Standing at 351 meters, it is the tallest self-supporting structure in South Asia. Travelers visit the tower primarily to access the observation decks for a high-altitude view of the city skyline and the surrounding coastline.

Getting There

The tower is located within the city center of Colombo. Depending on your starting point, it is accessible via short taxi or tuk-tuk rides. Travel time from most central hotels typically ranges from 5 to 15 minutes.

Duration of Visit

Allow approximately 2 to 3 hours to complete the ascent, spend time at the observation levels, and descend.

When to Visit

The tower can get crowded during weekends and public holidays. There is no specific season that restricts access, though weather conditions may affect visibility from the top.
