Chanakyapuri is the diplomatic enclave of New Delhi, established in the 1950s. It serves as the primary location for most foreign embassies in India and is named after the ancient strategist Chanakya. Travelers visit this area to see the diverse architectural styles of the various embassy buildings and to experience one of the city's most planned and greenest residential districts.
Getting There
The area is located south of the city center. It is most easily accessed via taxi or ride-sharing apps from central New Delhi. Depending on traffic conditions, the journey typically takes 20 to 40 minutes.
