Dvin
The former capital of early medieval Armenia, located 35 km south of Yerevan. It was one of the region's leading cities until it was destroyed by Mongol invasions in the 13th century.

The Hrazdan River, Armenia's second-longest, rises at Lake Sevan, flows through Yerevan, and empties into the Aras River. You can follow its course through the gorge west of Yerevan to take in the scenery.
