Al-Atatra is a rural village in Beit Lahia, situated in the northern Gaza Strip. It is primarily recognized as an agricultural community with an established history of strawberry cultivation. Travelers visit to see the open farming plots and observe traditional agricultural practices in the district.

Getting There

The village lies north of central Gaza City and can be reached by road toward Beit Lahia. A drive by car or taxi from the city centre generally takes between 15 and 25 minutes depending on traffic.

A typical stop takes about 1 to 2 hours, which allows sufficient time to view the fields and walk through the local agricultural lanes.

When to Visit

Winter and early spring coincide with the strawberry growing season, making it the most relevant time of year to see active harvesting. Daytime hours offer the best conditions for travel. The area is rural and does not experience tourist congestion.
